Introduction

Ever wanted to buy or sell an item, but didn't know which bank was the best to do it in? This guide names all the banks, and what items are commonly traded in each.

If you want to find an item on this page, just press CTRL + F and type in the name. Remember - some items are found in more than one bank, so its best to check all the results.

Free Banks

Varrock West Bank:
Varrock west bank usually has no specific item trades going on - mostly armour/weapons and bank sales. On world 1 however, its a different story. It is so crowded, people have spread outside round the edges of the bank. In world 1, you can buy rare items and Treasure Trail armour round the back of the bank (outside), and other armour, logs, etc on the east side of the bank (outside).

Varrock East Bank:
Varrock east bank is used mainly for runes, rune essence, and pking/wilderness items, being both located near the wilderness and a rune essence teleport. In members it's much the same. Occasionally, Iron ore can be bought here.

Al Kharid Bank:
Al Kharid is a miners bank. Most ores up to Mithril can be bought here. Also, this is a good place to buy cowhides, due to the close cow paddock.

Draynor Bank:
Probably the least used bank in Runescape (with exception to Ardougne North Bank). The only things you can buy here are Willow logs, axes, and in members, sometimes seeds. Though I don't recommend trying to buy or sell anything in this bank.

Edgeville Bank:
A pkers bank. Weapons, armour, potions, food, you name it. Yew logs, Nature runes, and sometimes ores can also be found here. In members, dragon hides and bones are traded here.

Falador West Bank:
Useless in free members. In members, it is used for herbs, and is the BEST bank to buy or sell herbs. Bank sales can also be found here.

Falador East Bank:
Another major mining bank, located conveniently right next to the mining guild. All ores up to Adamant can be found here, especially coal. In members, world 2, people spread all the way through the Falador Gardens. In the gardens, rare items like party hats and barrows armour can be bought. Around the bank, armour of all types can be bought. Falador is the best place to buy or sell rares in members worlds.

Members Banks

Canifis Bank:
Not very popular, although food can be sold here, because of Barrows nearby.

Catherby Bank:
Catherby is located right next to a farm, fishing spots, and a range. Food and seeds can be found here. This is one of the best places to buy food.

Seers Village Bank:
One of the most popular and useful banks, Seers Bank is full of items to trade. You can find logs, bows, flax, bowstring, runes, weapons, armour and axes here. It is the BEST place to buy any Fletching or Woodcutting equipment.

Ardougne North Bank:
An almost un-populated bank, nothing is traded here.

Ardougne South Bank:
Not very populated too, but sometimes ranging equipment and melee equipment can be bought here.

Gnome Village Bank:
Don't bother going here to trade stuff.

Yanille Bank:
Not very popular, but runes can be bought here.

Port Phasmatys Bank:
Not popular at all, so not much found here.

Fishers Guild Bank:
Come here to buy fish (of course).

Shilo Village Bank:
Not very popular, but you can by food, and some gems here occasionally.

Misc Places

Duel Arena Bank Chest:
Not a good place for trading, but food and weapons/armour can sometimes be found here.

Castle Wars Bank Chest:
Again, not a good place for trading, but melee equipment and food can be found.

Legends Guild:
Not much traded here, just items that came as drops from shadow warriors.
