Reporting players is how you keep the game safe, and played the proper way. Many people believe that when you report someone it does nothing. But that is not true. All reports are viewed in one way or another.
How to report some one:
Step 1: When you see some one breaking a rule, it is best to type their name in your chat box, so that you do not type the wrong name, and wrongly accuse some one of cheating.
Second step: Press the “report abuse” button. It is located in the button right corner of your game screen.
Third step: Type the name of the character that you saw breaking the rules. Make sure you did not make any mistakes.
Fourth step: chose from the list the rule that he or she broke. Do not report some one just for fun, as that will get you banned.
Once you have click the rule he or she broke, the window will close, and you will get a message that says: “Thank-you, your abuse report has been delivered”.

Rules to Reporting Another Player:
- You must make sure they are breaking a rule.
- You cannot report some one for no reason.
- You cannot report someone for Offensive Language if you have not spoken to them in the last 60 seconds.
- You can not report some one twice within 60 seconds.
- You can not report some one because they reported you. Unless you have done nothing wrong. Then you can report them for Misuse of Customer Service.

Q: If some one is bugging me, can I report them for bug abuse?
A: No, Bug Abuse is when some one is using a glitch. Not when some one is bugging you.
Q: Does reporting everyone make me a mod?
A: No. However, if Jagex is looking at you to make you a player moderator, they might look at your report record. Do you report rule breakers? Do you wrongly report people? Have you been reported? So it does affect it, but you shouldn't report people for no reason.
